Compare the Ford Bronco vs Jeep Wrangler
Compare the Ford Bronco vs. the Jeep® Wrangler
The Ford Bronco represents the first credible competition to the Jeep Wrangler in more than a generation. While the Jeep Wrangler has carried the flag for off-road capability over a long period of time, the Ford Bronco can meet or exceed the Wrangler on rugged terrain and offers some other advantages when the pavement is smooth. Since you might be considering both off-road SUVs, here's a comparison of the two and why'll be better off getting a new Ford Bronco at Hasset Ford in Wantagh, NY.

A comparison of engine options
The new Ford Bronco pulls ahead right out of the gate with a standard engine that delivers more horsepower and torque. To be specific, the Bronco has a standard 2.3-liter EcoBoost® engine that generates up to 300 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. The Wrangler, on the other hand, has a standard V-6 that delivers only 285 horsepower and just 260 pound-feet of torque, so the Wrangler falls short of the Bronco at the most basic level.
Engine upgrades for the new Bronco include a 2.7-liter EcoBoost® V-6 with an output of 330 horsepower, and a 3.0-liter EcoBoost® V-6 that you can count on for an impressive 418 horsepower. The Wrangler has a 2.0-liter turbo engine with 270 horsepower, well below the 330 number in the Bronco. So if you want to take the next step up in terms of engines, the Ford Bronco beats the Jeep Wrangler once again.
A comparison of fuel efficiency
With its standard engine, the Ford Bronco has an EPA combined estimate of 20 MPG vs. the Jeep Wrangler with an EPA combined estimate of only 19 MPG. The Wrangler does have a more potent 6.4-liter V-8 with 470 horsepower, but it comes at the cost of dropping to a very expensive 14 combined MPG.

A comparison of ride quality and handling
The Ford Bronco offers a smoother, more comfortable ride than the Jeep Wrangler, especially on paved surfaces. That's primarily because of the Bronco's independent front suspension system and a more modern suspension design compared with the Wrangler's solid front axle. The Bronco's available Bilstein shocks contribute to a smoother ride and better handling, especially on highways. Beyond that, the Jeep® Wrangler's ride less refined, even on rugged surfaces, so the Ford Bronco gives you a smoother, better ride than the Wrangler, regardless of the terrain.
A comparison of features
Both SUVs provide a standard touchscreen display that measures 12 inches but the Bronco Big Bend offers a large 12.0-inch digital gauge cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay®, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, five G.O.A.T. (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) mode, remote keyless entry, remote engine start, six-way manual front seats and heated power side mirrors.
The comparable Jeep Wrangler Willys comes with a much smaller 3.5-inch digital gauge cluster screen. It also has old-fashioned four-way manual front passenger seats and cheaper cloth seat upholstery. The capability of Bronco's G.O.A.T. mode and the easy-cleaning practicality of marine-grade vinyl are available in the Bronco Big Bend but you can't get them in the comparable Jeep Wrangler. From available 10-way power-adjustable front seats to the premium Bang & Olufsen® sound system, the Bronco gives you features the Wrangler can't match.

A comparison of safety features
The Ford Bronco gives Long Island, NY drivers an alert if they start driving out of their lane. What's more, it provides a comprehensive view of the environment with a 360-degree camera, for a higher level of security. The Jeep Wrangler simply doesn't offer those safety features even if you pay to get the highest trim level. There are a number of other advantages the Ford Bronco has over the Jeep Wrangler and we can tell you more when you visit us at Hasset Ford in Wantagh, NY.
